Pluck individual notes or use Classic view to sweep through 22 diatonic harp strings. Each note rings out, so neighboring strings can overlap into a flowing arpeggio.

## How to play

In 3D view, choose Play to tap, strum, or glide across a playing surface. Hold keys or wind surfaces to sustain a note. Choose Rotate to inspect the model; scroll or pinch to zoom. Use the labeled note controls or computer keys for chords and the full range. Classic view provides the original illustrated playing surface. Move across the strings for a glissando, or use the labeled keyboard controls below the harp to choose from all 22 notes.

## Sound

Orchestral harp samples provide the plucked attack and a long, ringing decay.

## Trace an arch through the strings

Play a deliberate rising and falling arpeggio before trying a free sweep. The named notes help you hear which pitches a glissando passes through.

Starting tempo: 72 BPM. Use Keep the beat for a steady pulse.

1: C3 (A) | 2: E3 (D) | 3: G3 (G) | 4: C4 (K) | 5: G3 (G) | 6: E3 (D) | 7: D3 (S) | 8: No new pluck

1. **Find the four main pitches.** Use the labeled note controls for C3, E3, G3 and C4. Their shortcuts are A, D, G and K. Start Keep the beat at 72 BPM.

2. **Climb and return.** Play one new note per beat through the eight-beat pattern. Do not press again during the final beat; let the strings already sounding decay.

3. **Compare a sweep.** Choose Classic view and glide across neighboring strings, then return to the written pattern. A sweep includes the notes between the arpeggio pitches.

**What to listen for:** The high C4 is the turning point. Let successive plucks overlap, but keep their starts distinct enough to follow the rise and fall.

**Try next:** Repeat the pattern one octave higher with C4, E4, G4, C5, G4, E4 and D4, using the labeled controls.

## How do I record the harp in Resonant?

1. **Choose your playing controls.** Choose Play in 3D view or switch to Classic. Tap a playing surface, use the labeled note controls, or press a computer-key shortcut to enable sound.

2. **Record your idea.** Press Record above the instrument, then play your phrase. This records studio audio without using your microphone. Each take can last up to five minutes.

3. **Listen and keep a copy.** Press Stop, open Recordings, and listen to the take. Choose Download WAV or Original audio to keep a file. Saved takes stay on this device; clearing browser storage removes them.
