Carry a melody with a little warmth. Every one of the 41 3D melody keys plays its own pitch from C3 to E6. Classic view keeps the two-octave C3–B4 keyboard; the left-hand bass buttons remain decorative.

## How to play

In 3D view, choose Play to tap, strum, or glide across a playing surface. Hold keys or wind surfaces to sustain a note. Choose Rotate to inspect the model; scroll or pinch to zoom. Use the labeled note controls or computer keys for chords and the full range. Classic view provides the original illustrated playing surface. Press the keys or their labeled shortcuts. Hold several notes for a chord and release them to fade. The bellows respond visually to playing; no manual pumping is needed.

## Sound

Accordion samples from FluidR3 GM supply the sustained reed tone. Bellows pressure, register changes, and a left-hand bass-button system are not simulated.

## Make a three-beat keyboard accompaniment

Play a lower note followed by two higher chord strikes. This is a pattern on the melody keyboard, not a simulation of accordion bass buttons.

Starting tempo: 72 BPM. Use Keep the beat for a steady pulse.

1: C3 (Z) | 2: E3 + G3 (C + B) | 3: E3 + G3 (C + B) | 4: F3 (V) | 5: A3 + C4 (N + Q) | 6: A3 + C4 (N + Q)

1. **Set a three-beat pulse.** In Keep the beat, choose 3 beats and 72 BPM. Locate Z, C, B, V, N and Q in the labeled keyboard controls.

2. **Play the first group.** Press Z for C3, then C and B together on each of the next two beats. Release the pair between attacks so the two chord strikes remain distinct.

3. **Change the second group.** Press V for F3, followed by N and Q together twice. Repeat the six-beat pattern, keeping the first beat of each group easy to identify.

**What to listen for:** Each group begins with one note and answers with two chord attacks. Holding the chord continuously would erase that three-beat shape.

**Try next:** Reverse the order of the two groups. Keep using the melody controls; the decorative left-hand buttons do not add a separate bass system.

## How do I record the accordion in Resonant?

1. **Choose your playing controls.** Choose Play in 3D view or switch to Classic. Tap a playing surface, use the labeled note controls, or press a computer-key shortcut to enable sound.

2. **Record your idea.** Press Record above the instrument, then play your phrase. This records studio audio without using your microphone. Each take can last up to five minutes.

3. **Listen and keep a copy.** Press Stop, open Recordings, and listen to the take. Choose Download WAV or Original audio to keep a file. Saved takes stay on this device; clearing browser storage removes them.
